Leaked video of Sony Group Corp. (NYSE:SONY) of its PlayStation handheld console, aka Project Q, which offered a look at its features and internal components.
The video, shared by the Zuby account of technology enthusiasts on Twitter, has left many intrigued and amused by Project Q’s appearance: the handheld console appears to be nothing more than a DualSense controller sliced in half, with an LCD tablet attached to it.
Android operating system?
The console apparently runs on an Android-based operating system, though it’s worth noting that the end-user interface is expected to be more PlayStation-themed by launch.according to Kotaku.
Sony has confirmed that Project Q will be released later this yearand gaming expert Tom Henderson points towards a more specific release date of November 2023, just in time for Christmas.
8 inch screen
Project Q was officially announced last month, during the PlayStation Showcase 2023 presentation. The portable console, which has an 8-inch screen, it’s primarily designed to stream games from a PS5 to a portable screen, not offering native gameplay like the Nintendo Switch.

During the presentation, Sony has also introduced gaming headsets compatible with PS5 and PC.
Additionally, Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) claimed that Sony plans to release a PlayStation 5 Slim version later this yearpriced at $399.99.
