Review
Who said sequels are always bad? This time it must be said that the sequel to SONIC is better than its predecessor. It is very entertaining from start to finish, and very funny, with very epic moments, which will delight the whole family.
The sequel with the main characters already presented, has focused all the prominence on its animated characters, such as Sonic, Knukcles and Tails. It has also introduced new elements of the SONIC Video Game Universe, starting with Knukcles whom we already saw in the trailers, and Tails, already featured in the credits of the first film, the Guardian Units of Nations (GUN); a secret organization tasked with protecting the world.
As a common thread, the green emerald, a precious stone forged from the union of the 7 emeralds of chaos, something like the infinity gems in Marvel, whose mystical properties give those who possess them great power abilities, from the creation of a powerful Super transformation, power machines, warp time and space or control the environmental state. Elements that in themselves will delight fans of the SEGA video game franchise.
Also don’t miss the credits at the end of the film, which will make more than one jump out of their seats. Warn that there is only one so don’t expect it to happen like in the Marvel movies.
As for the performances of the live action cast, most of them are in the background. However, it should be noted of course, the interpretation of Jim Carrey as Robotnik. Although this follows the same line with this character as with others he has played before, such as The Mask or Enigma in batmanforever.
In short, a delivery that leaves you wanting more. And it also shows that you can make perfectly good movies about video game characters, a genre that has generally had no luck with its adaptations, but something seems to be changing in recent times. We’ll see if the trend continues. Have you already seen it? What do you think?
