Microsoft continues to jab at the bone when it comes to releasing updates and fixes. That is at least what is deduced after the update for Windows 10 by means of the KB5005565 patch, a release that is causing the User Complaints Regarding Some Intel Wireless Adapters.
Patch KB5005565 was released on September 14 through OS builds 19041.1237, 19042.1237, and 19043.1237 for Windows 10 21H2, 21H1, 20H2 and for version 2004 respectively. A launch to correct bugs that apparently has added new ones, in this case with Bluetooth connections.
Bluetooth faults
And it is that apparently, the KB5005565 patch is offering issues with the Intel Bluetooth drivers for some wireless adapters like the Intel 720 chip. Reddit is once again the focus of user complaints on different threads.
In this sense, one user states that “for anyone with an Intel 7260 WiFi / Bluetooth dual chip, two computers laptops lost the Bluetooth function completely after the update was applied “while another reports that after updating,” the Intel driver would throw a Code 10 error with the message “POWER FAILURE”.
This is not the only problem that Microsoft has documented in the support page and thus has confirmed reports related to applications freezing, failures to open applications or files after implementing cumulative updates or a white window when trying to log in.
Fortunately, Microsoft has released a patch that fixes some of these bugs. This is an update that is being rolled out via a server-side update, so it may still take a few days to reach all machines.
It is not the first error that users experience in recent days that they recently saw with Patch Tuesday was causing crashes with online connected printers.
