Nike’s RTFKT chief of operations loses his NFTs to a hack
Nikhil Gopalani, the COO of the NFT project RTFKT, took to Twitter to say that his NFT collection was stolen in a phishing attack.. Gopalani described the attacker as a “clever phisher” and said the scammer sold his Clone X NFTs.
Hey Clone X community – I was hacked by a clever Phisher (same phone # as apple ID) & sold all my clone x / some other nfts… Obviously pretty upset and hurt by this and I haven’t really been able to move all day . Hope people who bought my clones love them (being positive)

Hello Clone X community. I was hacked by a clever phisher (same phone number as apple id) and sold all my clonex / some other nft… Today the delivery time for my clones is over. I hope the people who bought my clones love it (being positive).
OpenSea data shows that the attacker used two wallets to steal Gopalani’s NFTs, worth around $173,000. This includes 19 NFT CloneX, 18 RTFKT Space Pods, 17 Loot Pods, and 11 CryptoKicks. Etherscan data also shows that only $0.11 worth of Ether (ETH) remains in the Gopalani-linked wallet.
While the phishing method has yet to be revealed, a tweet from RTFKT CTO Samuel Cardillo, suggests what Gopalani may have provided access codes to some scammers.
Gamers kick NFTs out of mainstream games
The internet’s anti-NFT narrative seems to have successfully separated mainstream game development companies from NFTs. Throughout 2022, Game developers such as Stalker studio GSC Game World, Ubisoft, and Worms developer Team17 have backtracked on integrating NFT into games due to negative feedback from the gaming community..
After carrying out the integration of non-fungible tokens in its Quartz project, Ubisoft took a step back from NFTs. The turnaround came after the game company received negative feedback online about Quartz in 2021.
This remains the stupidest and most pointless thing in the god damn world.
If anyone would like to stop working for companies that do dumb things like this, we’re hiring and will be hiring even more in the new year. Esp if you’re in, for real, hit us up. https://t.co/Hb2Fq5xZ55

In the midst of the opposition many still believe that NFTs and gaming can be intertwined. On November 4, Electronic Arts (EA) CEO Andrew Wilson spoke at an benefits conference, noting that NFTs and play-to-earn are the future of gaming. However, the CEO of EA also noted that it is still too early to see how it would work.
Aside from EA, Square Enix, creator of Final Fantasy, has also been a supporter of integrating NFTs and blockchain into games.. The company recently invested in an NFT gaming company.
Solana NFT Trading Volume Shows Signs of Strength
After suffering a massive loss of the Solana (SOL) token, which lost more than 90% of its value in 2021, NFT trading volumes within the Solana blockchain are showing signs of strength, with Christmas Day being the busiest.
According to the NFT CryptoSlam data tracker, Solana had over $80 million in NFT sales in the last 30 days. The blockchain had more than 800,000 transactions in that time frame, surpassing Polygon and ImmutableX.
Despite his great month, it is not known if the strength shown will continueas most of the volume came from DeGods and y00ts, who are both bridging Polygon and Ethereum to pursue further adoption.
