The Ministry of Health has announced new download options for the Covid Certificate (the document that will give you freedom to travel) and can now be downloaded in Passbook format.
This novelty translates to it will be easier to add such an important document to the portfolio of iPhones and Android-based mobiles. This means that you will not need other services or applications on your mobile to store and display it.
The Covid Certificate is a digital document in the European Union where you can show in a simple way that you have been vaccinated, or that you have a recent negative test that proves that you are not infected with Covid-19 or that it can show that you have passed the disease and have some immunity. Carrying this certificate with you allows you to travel more easily between countries and sometimes even access leisure activities (in some countries it is already requested and in others it could happen).
From PDF to Passbook
Up to now The Covid Certificate could only be downloaded in PDF format as a page or folio with the aforementioned data and with a QR code. It can be printed or use a screenshot made to use it when you need it. And you have the option of carrying it in your phone’s digital wallet. Something that if you already use mobile payments will speed up any process (it is much easier to get this certificate from your digital wallet than to start looking through your photos in the gallery to find a capture).
It should be mentioned that installing the Covid Certificate in Google Pay or Apple Pay was possible after converting the PDF into Passbook format. Now the Ministry of Health already offers the document in this format, so you do not need to do this conversion.
In addition to comfort, this way you avoid giving this medical and private information to third-party apps, taking into account that private information is normally offered when you use these services.
