Throughout the summer, Ubisoft has shared a lot of information related to Skull and Bones, the French company’s pirate title, about which its release date was even confirmed for November 8, 2022. However, it seems that not everything has gone as planned in development, and just a few moments ago it was confirmed that Skull and Bones is delayed once again.
This has been communicated by the company through a blog postwhere in addition to confirming that Skull and Bones is delayed, they have also provided us with the new release date of the title, which will take place on next March 9, 2023.
Skull and Bones is delayed and confirms its new release date
The company has justified the game’s delay in the studio’s intention to offer the best possible experience. Apparently, according to different sources (such as Kotaku), the last test of the title, which ended on September 19, was more polished than other previous tests, but even so kept somewhat superficial elementssuch as player progression.
Skull and Bones shows a new trailer focused on its gameplay and customization
If true, it seems logical that Ubisoft has delayed the release of the game for a few months, since it must be remembered that Skull and Bones was going to be the first Ubisoft game to debut the studio’s new pricing policy. Therefore, both for the users and for the economic operation of the title, the smartest decision was to delay the title until it was as polished as possible.
Finally, the company has also confirmed that Skull and Bones open beta coming soon, about which they will share more details in the future. So, if you want to try out this new game from Ubisoft, stay tuned to find out when beta registration will open.
