Skoda Motorsport has issued a statement confirming the temporary suspension of production of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo. From the sports arm of the Czech manufacturer it is explained that lack of materials and microchips that the automotive industry lives worldwide and problems in the supply chain arising from the COVID-19 pandemic have led to this situation. From the brand they point out that, despite efforts to meet the high demand for their competition model, the shortage of production parts makes it almost impossible to manufacture new vehicles in the short term.
In fact, from Skoda Motorsport it is pointed out that It is being really difficult to attend to the worldwide sale and distribution of spare parts for the more than 400 Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo that are already in the hands of customers. For this reason and to ensure the attention that these customers deserve, Skoda has been forced to make the decision to suspend the manufacture of new chassis for its ‘Rally2’. Also, with immediate effect, Skoda Motorsport stops accepting new orders for its successful rally car and will proceed to cancel, after contacting the client, the last orders.
