The signs That the depression is getting worse may not always be obvious at first. Part of this is because depression that gets worse can have a variety of symptoms.
The depression can go from bad to worse, or from non-existent to very serious, in a matter of days, causing the contrast in the mood be quite obvious. Other times, however, changes in your mood can happen slowly, making it even more difficult to realize that YOUR depression is getting worse.

You want to be alone more often
Often when you’re depressed, you can feel overwhelming or downright despondent. find the energy you need to spend time with others. CHANGES IN DIET
As for food, you may be eating more or less than usual. Changes in sleep pattern can be similar in that depression can make it hard to stay awake and concentrate during the day. It may also be more difficult to fall asleep at bedtime, or you may wake up during the night.
Difficulty sleeping means you may be tempted to take a nap during the day. Which can increase concentration and productivity issues, while also making nighttime sleeping habits even more disruptive.
