Blue Beetle could very soon have her villain, as Sharon Stone is in final talks to bring Victoria Kord to life.
Thanks to Deadline we know that actress Sharon Stone is in final talks to play the villainous Victoria Kord and make life miserable for Blue Beetle.
On the site we read that Victoria Kord “is a new character created for the film and is believed to be Ted Kord’s wife. Kord is the second Blue Beetle in DC history. Although Blue Beetle was originally released by Charleston Comics in November 1966, the heroes of Charleston were acquired by DC in the mid-1980s. In the pages of DC, Kord was an industrialist, owner of KORD Industries, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises, a business she inherited from her father Thomas de Ella. The business grew from a research and development company to a scientific industry under Ted’s leadership. Eventually, Ted joins the Justice League.”
Originally posed for HBO Max, Blue Beetle is now headed to theaters with a release date of August 18, 2023.
The first film is directed by Ángel Manuel Soto from a script by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer and produced by John Rickard. The young Xolo Maridueña will play the main role of Blue Beetle, probably accompanied by Sharon Stone, while George López, Adrianna Barraza, Harvey Guillén, Bruna Marquezine, Damián Alcázar, Belissa Escobedo and Elpidia Carrillo will accompany him.
