When a sink has 40 cm or less in depth is considered a special or reduced background. This type of washbasin with special measures is usually the one chosen in toilets and other bathrooms where space is scarce.
It is common to choose them if they are facing the access door and it is their “reduced depth” that allows the access door to open completely. Also when the toilet or the access to the shower are facing the sink.
The free space or gap between furniture, if these circumstances occur, must be at least 60 cms which is solved with a shallow sink. Whatever the need that leads us to have to choose a smaller sink than usual, Fortunately, its aesthetics do not have to be conditioned. There are even some, despite the narrowness, that include cabinets or drawers to help you keep things well organized.
The most vintage model
The cover image belongs to one of the bathrooms in Pia Capdevila’s first bio-interior design project. It is a model of an old design basin sink but it works that well in small spaces and adds a vintage and industrial touch to the bathroom.

Wide and narrow sinks
Lack of space does not have to affect the width of the sink. It may be that there are no problems across the width to have a sink. In the previous image, the space has been used to the maximum with a made-to-measure, built-in sink. We propose a similar concept that includes furniture and washbasin like this model of Kave Home.
