This is burning. Just two months after having released session #53 with the Argentine producer Bizarrap, Shakira returns to the scene to tell, once again, his four truths to Gerard Piqué. This time, the new song by the Colombian singer is titled “TQG” (“You stayed big”) and is part of a collaboration for the album “Mañana será bonito” of his compatriot Carol G.. As expected, the song’s lyrics reveal new allusions to his ex-partners, the former Spanish soccer player for FC Barcelona and the Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA, respectively.
“You, going out to look for food; and I, thinking that it was monotony”Shakira says in the song. She also assures: “Seeing you with the new one hurt me, but I’m set ‘for’ my thing / I forgot what we lived through, that’s what has offended you”a letter that on social networks is understood as a direct allusion to Piqué, who has become the source of inspiration for his latest songs after the breakup.
The song has become a trend and has already achieved more than 5 million views in the first hours of posting. It is the first collaboration that the two artists carry out on the occasion of the release of Karol G’s new album, “Mañana ser bonito”, the fourth album since he began his recording career in 2017, with “Unstoppable”.
Karol G had previously published a message for Anuel AA in his song “MAMII”, a duet with the singer BeckyG, and for which he just won the Lo Nuestro award for Urban Song of the Year at a gala held in Miami (USA). ).
This is one of the four awards that the Colombian has won, including the most important trophy, Artist Of The Year, along with Female Artist Of The Year-Urban and Song Of The Year.
Shakira has also won three other awards as Female Pop Artist of the Year, Pop Collaboration of the Year and Song of the Year- Urban Pop for “Te felicito” with Puerto Rican Rauw Alejandro, the first of this trilogy of songs dedicated to her ex-partner, Gerard Pique.
This release comes after the great media stir caused by Shakira’s previous song, session #53 with the Argentine producer Bizarrap, which in just two weeks accumulated almost 162 million views on platforms such as Spotify.
