Being a content creator and living from social networks is the plan of many teenagers, but would it be a profitable option to generate income or as a professional option? The SEP has responded and endorsed the technical career to be influencers.
The rise of the influencers started as a result of the growth of social networks, they are known for having a large number of followers and having some influence in their community, according to a survey carried out by Fourstarzz Media in 2020, Instagram was the leading platform for the marketing of influencers worldwide with 89 percent positive responses, followed by YouTube with 70 percent, and Facebook in third place with 45 percent.
In Mexico the platform with the highest number of influencers is Instagram, according to a study conducted by influencecitythere are four types of influencers, the nano influencers with numbers from 1 to 10 thousand followers, of which there are more than 439 thousand on IG; micro influencers of between 10 and 100 thousand followers, there are more than 37 thousand of this type; macro influencers from between 100 thousand to 1 million followers, in Mexican lands there are just over 4 thousand; and the mega influencers With more than a million followers, there are a total of 349 of them.
SEP endorses the technical career of “influencer”
Could it be possible to be a professional influencer? The answer is yes, and it was given by the Ministry of Public Education itself, SEP by endorsing the technical influencer career at a private school in Puebla, called Colegio Greenfield High School.
The institution offers the career of “I am a Professional Influencer”, The study plan is “Technical in social networks and influencer training”, it has two modalities, face-to-face and virtual; It should be noted that it is the first and only school in Latin America to offer this degree.
The inscriptions were last October, and the study plan consists of four modules, in three semesters, among the subjects taught are “Principles of good image and makeup”, “Photography and graphic skills”, “Sales strategies within of the target markets”, “Definition and personalization of the market segments in the networks”, “Planning of advertising campaigns through the social networks”.
To take the race It is only necessary to have completed high schooland has a registration cost of 2,500 Mexican pesos and monthly payments of 2,800 Mexican pesos. It should be noted that these prices were only available for the first generation.
Despite having become a technical career, is it possible that this is a profitable professional career?
