Today we woke up with the transmission of a new Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, in which non-Nintendo partners introduced some of the games coming to the Nintendo Switch over the next year. One of these games is the expected sonic frontiers from SEGA, which we could see running on a Nintendo Switch and the Cyber Space levels were presented.
Sonic Frontiers is the latest game in the sonic team that brings the blue hedgehog to the open world genre, but it has already been confirmed that not the entire game will have this structure, as the Cyber Space zones present us with linear challenges that are more similar to classic Sonic levels in 3D.

The trailer for Sonic Frontiers that we saw at the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase shows the game running on a Nintendo Switch, in addition to the Cyber Space levels that offer more linear challenges. It seems that we can access these levels through totems within the game, which send Sonic to Cyberspace; Completing Cyberspace challenges awards keys for Sonic, which unlock more Cyberspace levels.
Earlier in June, SEGA showcased gameplay for Sonic Frontiers with a trailer of its exploration and combat, followed by new clips over the next few days that gave us an insight into the game’s gameplay. However, some fans were not satisfied with what was shown, thus asking SEGA to delay Sonic Frontiers.
Despite the fact that the hashtag #DelaySonicFrontiers became a trend after SEGA showed the Sonic Frontiers gameplay, the company assured that the game will not be delayed, so we can expect it by the end of the year on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
