In recent years, we have seen the resurgence of one of the most recognized companies in the industry, and one of the great veterans without a doubt: SEGA. Thanks to the expansion to the West of its most beloved sagas, such as Yakuza or Judgment (both from the Ryo Ga Gotoku studio), and the extreme care in many of its titles, it has made users trust a company that for years which was in the doldrums. Therefore, the Japanese company is in a golden moment, and it seems that it will take advantage of it more than good, since SEGA opens a new studio in Sapporo, Japan, dedicated to ensuring great quality in their future titles.
The news has been published on the official website of SEGA Japan, and in the release (which is in perfect Japanese) gives key information about this new studio, dubbed “SEGA Sapporo Studio”, since it is located in the city of Sapporo. We still do not know what project he will be in charge of, but we suppose that in the future we will know more about the study’s work.

What’s more, The studio will be led by a veteran already at SEGA: Takaya Segawa, who was the chief producer on Phantasy Star Online 2.. Seeing SEGA in this situation is very happy, since not only does it have large IPs in its possession, but it is one of the most veteran companies currently in the industry, and seeing it again give war (with a lot of quality) it is always a pleasure.
