Any electronic device that has an operating system is prone to attack by cybercriminals. One of the most recent demos comes from three major gaming consoles. Nintendowho recently recorded eventualities in some video game.
According to what a security report cited by colleagues from infobaethe cybercriminals would have recorded audios and videos from certain video games, without the users giving the corresponding permissions.
This caused vulnerabilities to open up and the attackers had access to the private data of those affected. Nintendo has not made the aforementioned eventualities official. However, there are known to be drawbacks when it was released, unexpectedlya new patch for Mario Kart 7, for Nintendo 3DS.
As the aforementioned medium recalls, this is a title that came out in 2010 and had not received updates since 2012. Wii UI and the latest Nintendo Switch video games they also recorded vulnerabilities.
The attack as such, identified as ENLBufferPwn, it was detected in 2021. No one had paid attention to it until the flash updates started, which obviously came with new security patches.

Affected Nintendo Video Games
The report warned that a simple online game with the cybercriminal was enough for him to have access to the victim’s information. He took control of the session and could perform functions such as screenshots or audio recording.
This is how Nintendo released new security patches, in addition to the aforementioned game, to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Splatoon 3, Super Mario Maker 2, and Nintendo Switch Sports.
When these situations occur, do not hesitate or think twice: update they see, update they install.
