The Marvel Cinematic Universe calendar just got a big shake-up. The Walt Disney Company has delayed the release of four of its upcoming projects, including the film that will close the Multiverse Saga: Avengers: Secret Wars.
This morning it was revealed that the production of Blade, scheduled to start next November, will go on hiatus while they find a replacement for director Basamam Tariq. Now, the inevitable delay of the reboot with Mahershala Ali, which passes from November 3, 2023 to September 6, 2024.
sources confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the need to postpone the production of Blade is what caused this domino effect in other titles on the Marvel Studios calendar.

The third installment of dead poolwhich will see Ryan Reynolds team up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, will move precisely from September 6 to November 8, 2024. The feature film will be directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy: Taking Control).
For its part, Fantastic Four passes from November 8, 2024 to February 14, 2025. The long-awaited incorporation of this team of superheroes to the UCM still has to define its cast, but it already has director Matt Shakman (WandaVision).
Finally, Avengers: Secret Wars will not hit theaters on November 7, 2025 as planned, but until May 1, 2026. With this move, the two upcoming films from avengers they will debut a year apart, instead of just six months as was the original plan. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is still scheduled to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
At the moment, the release of the rest of the Phase 5 movies of the MCU also remain unchanged.
