Netflix confirmed the renewal of ‘Elite’ for a sixth season months before we could see the fifth. That shows the great confidence he has in a title that has proven to be one of his most popular non-English speaking series and now it’s time to make a stop in his future.
Next we will review everything that is known so far about season 6 of ‘Elite’, which promises to be marked by a new generation of characters that inject new energy into the series. As always happens in this type of article, we will update the information as more details become known.
Beware of season 5 spoilers from here on out.
The history
An unknown. It’s unclear if the characters’ story will be chosen to continue at the end of season five or if there will be a complete reset. Whatever decision is made, it is clear that some characters will disappear completely, in the case of Benjamin (Diego Martin), arrested by the police – which probably also fully impacts the possible continuity of Patrick (Manu Rios), Mencia (Martina Cardidi) and Ari (Carla Diaz)-, and almost certainly also Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), who would be quite a surprise if he was still alive.
Cast and protagonists
From Netflix several signings have been confirmed for a sixth season that promises to be a new beginning for the series. Probably the most striking is the Carmen Arrufata young actress who became known with ‘La inocencia’, a film for which she was nominated for a Goya, but on television she is more popular for ‘HIT’, where she played Lena in its first season.
In addition, the series will also feature the signings of Alvaro de Juana (‘Love is forever’)Ana Bokesa (‘Medical Center’)Alex Pastrana (‘Welcome to Eden’) and Ander Puig (‘The hustlers’). The latter will be the first trans actor to participate in an important character in the Netflix series.
Of the actors who had already been participating in the series, the question remains as to who will continue in the series, and that is if any of them do. Of course, if any of the original protagonists remain, Omar Ayuso it’s the only one that would make sense to stay on board.
For its part, Jaime Vaca and Carlos Montero They will continue to lead the series from the position of showrunners. Let’s remember that Montero is also co-creator of ‘Elite’ together with Darius Madronawho jumped ship after the completion of the third season.
Trailer, images and poster
At the moment we do not have any images of the sixth season of the series. We will have to wait a while until we have the first glimpse of the new episodes.
When does season 6 of ‘Elite’ premiere on Netflix?
Netflix has not yet ruled on when we will see season 6 of ‘Elite’. Of course, until now each year it has released a new batch of episodes, so it is most likely that we will not see it until 2023.
What is more difficult is to make an estimate about what month of the next year it could arrive. Between the first and the second, 11 months passed, between the second and the third the wait dropped to 6 months, increasing to 16 months between the third and the fourth, while from the fourth to the fifth we had to wait 10 months.
