This weekend the series premiered resident Evil in its live-action version on Netflix, and has received fairly significant praise from critics, as well as a great deal of not-so-positive feedback from some of the fans.
This action series, which has zombies, drama, suspense and more, but one thing it does not have is the explicit appearances of many characters from the video game franchise that it adapts despite being a series full of easter eggs, but this could change for the second season, since according to the showrunner Andrew DabbSo far at least one character will appear if the adaptation receives a second season.

You see, right at the end of the first season of Resident Evil, Jade Wesker (Tamara Smart) receives a sheet of paper from Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick) while she and her sister Billie (Siena Agudong) escape from Umbrella headquarters with Bert, leaving fans in doubt, until it is seen that the piece of paper has the name of someone the group must seek out to help them, as when Jade opens the piece of paper in one of the final scenes of the show, it is revealed that the name “Ada Wong” is written on it.
To which fans of the franchise will perfectly remember Ada Wongwho is one of the fan favorite characters in the game, and who was first introduced in Resident Evil 2, she who is a spy and undercover agent who is often involved in working against umbrellaand according to a recent interview with Dabb, this isn’t just suggesting that if the series gets a season 2, they confirm that Wong would appear in the second season.
It remains to be seen what decision Netflix directors will make about the future of the series, since it is not clear whether or not it will have a second season, it depends on the evolution it takes and if the fans show enough interest in the project.
