Actor Scott Eastwood reveals that his role in Suicide Squad (2016) was much longer and why he is not in the 2021 version.
Scott Eastwood played GQ Edwards one of the soldiers who accompanied the villains in the film suicide squad. His intervention was really scarce, although it is normal because he was only a secondary. Although they promised him that it would be very important for the future of DC Comics.
In a recent interview, Scott Eastwood has revealed that the director David Yesterday Told him: Come with me on this journey. I’m going to make you look very tough. I’m going to make your character stand out. She didn’t even know what the character was at the time. I recently spoke with David Ayer and I know that my character received a lot more love in the Ayer Cut.”
He also revealed why he was not in the new movie from the suicide squad from James Gunnsaying that: “They didn’t want to pay me any money for those next movies and they didn’t have another script for the other movie, so I didn’t know what I was going to sign up for.”
He also recalled a conversation he had with his father Clint Eastwood: “I said: They don’t want to pay me. He said: If you feel like they really need you and if it’s a good part of it, then go for it. If not, then don’t do it. He didn’t have the answer to those questions at the time. I wasn’t going to have any of the answers and they were putting pressure on me. So it ultimately didn’t happen.”
What happened to GQ Edwards?
In the movie suicide squad from David Yesterday which was released in theaters, supposedly the character of Scott Eastwood dies after a bomb explodes which also kills incubus (Alain Chanoin). But there is an extended version of the director and his true destiny may be known in that montage.
