Those of Samsung could jump right into a new product category with the patent that has just come to light and that shows a submersible headphones.
When using headphones there are certain limitations due to their format. And, is that, these accessories have evolved over the years, but they usually have certain shortcomings. The main and most striking is that there are only a handful of equipment with the ability to resist dips in the pool or in the sea.
The truth is that, although it sounds ridiculous, practicing sports listening to music has been largely normalized, but what about sports that are practiced in the water? So far, few brands offer solutions for athletes in these disciplines. But It seems that Samsung is preparing to launch a pool.
The latest information that has been leaked is that the South Korean firm would be preparing headphones with the ability to withstand splashes. This information comes thanks to the fact that a patent has come to light in which the supposed design of these headphones would be seen. The interesting thing is that, unlike other brands, these headphones would be hybrids.
They could be used both outside and in the water, even if the design would be typical of the samsung earphones. Of course, before entering the water you would have to “mount them” and, is that, would have a series of bands that can be placed on the headphones to limit the chances of them being lost while swimming.
Being a patent, not much has been specified about its functionalities or how the headphones would be controlled, they could continue to maintain the tactile capabilities of the back or have a new form of control. It will also be necessary to take into account the audio driver that they mount to produce a sound suitable for the propagation medium.
At the moment we will have to wait for Samsung to make the announcement officially or for leaks with real photos to begin to come to light. It would be interesting to see a company like Samsung get fully involved in this product category, although being such a niche team the strategy may work out well.
