This removable camera in the form of a Samsung stylus will allow you to take pictures with total freedom without practically depending on a phone.
Patents are one of the main ways we know where engineers from major tech companies are going, and Samsung might even be considering including a wireless camera to an advanced S-Pen that can accompany us in a hypothetical new Galaxy Note or in its folding phones.
While it couldn’t be ruled out that Samsung will launch another Galaxy Note in 2022, perhaps an advanced S Pen could even end up housing a wireless camera.
Now that their folding phones have been made compatible with Samsung’s stylus, South Koreans might be thinking of new possibilities to launch a future-forward, cutting-edge removable stylus that would also double as a camera.
This is how they advance it from LetsGoDigital in a new patent that presented Samsung before World Intellectual Property Organization last March 5 in a documentation entitled “portable terminal with detachable camera”, Although it was published on September 10, 2021.
In this patent you can see a new Samsung phone where the main protagonist It is a removable rod that would work as an S Pen but also as a detachable wireless camera.
This patented phone would have a detachable camera system the size of the classic stylus of the South Korean company, and the good thing is that this camera system is removable so we can insert or remove it from the top left of the device whenever we want.
This detachable system in the form of a rod or pencil includes the relevant camera, but also a microphone and a trigger.
The good thing about this modular design is that the user could even purchase other removable rods or cameras and add them to the device, which could improve this photographic section according to their needs.
This rod would even incorporate a small clip that would allow us to independently attach it to our shirt to take pictures of everything in front of us.
You could also have it fully coupled to the phone to simply act as a lifelong front camera, or simply as a stylus. Of course, being a camera that we can hide in the body of the terminal, it would make the front of the phone all screen.
This system or wand would remain connected to the smartphone via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or NFC. This removable camera would also be equipped with a motion sensor so that we can even perform several of its functionalities by performing gestures.
Be that as it may, it is simply a patent but it is clear that such a removable camera system could have a lot of play in a future device.
