The competition for the top in the smartphone industry has Samsung and Apple as its main adversaries. Each one uses its tools and strategies to convince consumers, including laughing at the rival. In this new opportunity, the south korean company mocked the bitten apple.
According to a report published on the website of M.D. TechSamsung mocked an ad for Apple’s Galaxy Z Flip 4, noting that the Cupertino, California-based company does not have a foldable iPhone on the marketa reality although in the great S they used this in favor to leave Apple in a bad light.
In the ad, a man is sitting on a wall, an image that represents consumers torn between buying an iPhone or a Samsung smartphone.
The model in the video, part of the On the Fence campaign, says he won’t switch to Samsung because he’s worried about his friends’ reactions, while a woman he’s talking to responds by saying: “When you take out your new Galaxy Z Flip 4the people will go crazy”.
The young woman gives him the Z Flip 4, he looks at it and other people appear, amazed by the new phone she has in her hands.
On the Fence, everything against Apple
Samsung had released another On the Fence ad last month, showing an unnamed iPhone user sitting on the fence and looking to the Samsung side, where he could see “flip phones and epic cameras”.
When iPhone users explain that “we’re just waiting for all that to come,” the guy on the fence wonders why he should wait when the technology is already available. “That’s what we do. We wait”says his friend, clearly referring to the public’s wait for a foldable Apple.
