In an interview with Empire magazine, Raimi was asked about which hero he would like to direct another movie and the filmmaker did not hesitate to show his interest in Batman.
“I have always loved Batman. If he ever saw the Bat-Signal in the air, he would come running… If he heard that deep, gurgling laugh of The Shadow coming from the darkness, he would tentatively run out too. And Spider-Man would be above Doctor Strange, but I don’t want to put him all the way down the list!”
Raimi directed the first movie of a certain Spider-Man from The House Across the Street, and will soon bring to the big screen the sequel to Doctor Strange.
The Dark Knight recently returned to the big screen after a decade of absence with The Batman, a film that takes up the detective origins of the character created in 1939 by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.
