- Both institutions signed a collaboration agreement for the IMSS to install vaccination modules in the Dignified Health Facilities and immunize the population that requires it.
- The biological applies to the population over 18 years of age who have not yet received a dose.
- Vaccination contributes to less saturated health services, which helps improve the quality of care by health institutions.
The health emergency is in one of the moments of least danger in our country. Over the last few days, the lowest levels have been reached with respect to the number of infections. To further protect the population and fully return to normalcy, a new strategy was announced. It’s about the massive application of the vaccine against Covid-19 and now the non-profit institution Salud Digna joins this project.
In the first instance, in recent days the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) announced that during the month of April and May, together with the federal Health Sector, this process will be carried out. To achieve this, various Medical Units will be set up throughout the country.
This stage is aimed at population over 18 years of age who have not yet received any dose against this disease. Also for those who need to complete their regimen or receive the reinforcement of the third dose.
Now there are more options to receive the biological
To speed up the process, the IMSS established a collaboration agreement with Dignified Health AC so that the Covid-19 vaccine is applied in its 109 establishments. To fulfill this mission, it will have the support of nursing staff from Social Security.
The strategy began on April 19 and was formalized through a collaboration agreement for IMSS health personnel to apply the vaccine to the population that requires it at Salud Digna facilities. At the moment there are already 46 modules installed.
In each enabled module there is the necessary furniture for IMSS health personnel to carry out their work in this intensive vaccination campaign.
In the same way, there are certain spaces enabled to carry out the surveillance of vaccinated people in case they require basic attention by IMSS personnel in the place and to make the appropriate referral to IMSS hospitals.
The objective of the link between both institutions is to strengthen the health of the population, in accordance with the national policy of vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In addition to preventing serious pictures of the disease in case of contagion of COVID-19.
It is important to remember that COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease that can become serious, cause death or even leave a chronic complication.
Therefore, it is important that people are immunized because the disease is prevented. In addition, the biological decreases the possibility of a serious condition or even death.
Vaccination greatly contributes to health services being less saturated by this cause. Situation that helps improve the quality of care by health institutions.
