The League of Legends universe has not stopped expanding in recent years with new video games and also with its own animated series. As if that were not enough, all this will now be added the first novel based on the acclaimed MOBA from Riot Games.
The company has partnered with Orbit for the publication of ruinationa novel written by Anthony Reynolds, who is precisely one of the main writers of Riot Games. Its plot will focus on the story of Kalistamilitary general to the Elder King, and how he set out to find a kingdom that might have access to ancient magic to cure the poisoned Queen Isolde.
Orbit will initially publish it in English only in the United States and the United Kingdom in September of this year and will do so in print, as well as ebook and audio formats. The rest of the world will have to be patient, although those responsible have warned that they intend to distribute the novel in the most important international markets in the world.
Ashley Maidy, product manager at Riot Games, wanted to highlight how important this situation is for the future of League of Legends and to help better understand its history and characters:
Stories play a huge role in exploring our world and champions in depth. This is a story of Runeterra and will provide more information about the events that formed the most important characters. We are excited that Orbit is going to make this possible for our fans.
