For Rubén Treviño, founder of the companyhaving been part of the “golden age of marketing in Mexico” was an honor that helped him lay the foundations that today drive his entire creative team.
It was on September 7, 1986 when the “RT family” was consolidated in Monterrey with the support of many professionals in marketing, media and advertising and the trust of large national and international brands.
Today, four months after celebrating its anniversary, RTreviño prepares a whole year of celebrations with shades of gratitude and for this they contemplate from the rebranding of their image to small gestures of integration to each one of the collaborators that have made their permanence possible.
Under the motto “Let’s rewrite history this 2022”, the marketing agency thanks the entire work team, clients, former collaborators and suppliers who once left their mark on the brand’s history.
“We loved having the celebration, with the toast, the saxophonist and all that; right now it would not be prudent, but a good way to celebrate is by giving. Beyond the newsletter and all that, we wanted to do something different to, at the very least, thank the clients, God, our families who have supported usto the human resource that has accompanied us and to the suppliers”.

The agency is now under the leadership of Luis Manuel Hernandezwho coincides with the vision of longing and change that is sought to be transmitted to both the brands and the audience.
“I believe that one of the great qualities of RTreviño is that it has always been here, that is, agencies go, agencies come, and not only at the local or regional level, but at the national level, but our methodology works, it worked before and it will work later, because the system has already been polished at the institutional level”, comments the current Director of RTreviño.
Luis Manuel has been with the company for 15 years and has managed to be part of the digital transformation that the industry faced, not to mention the great challenges that the agency went through and thanks to which it managed to position itself among the Mexican pillars.
As the right arm of Rubén Treviño, the man maintains the original philosophy, which always prioritizes human resources over the business ego; It is precisely this peculiarity that, in the words of Luis Manuel Hernández, has made them capture large accounts in their client portfolio and strengthen the trust and loyalty of their employees.
And it is that, for 35 years, the agency suffered from an internal “boycott” in which more than 15 staff left to open their own business just at the time of expansion of RTreviño, to the capture of an airport giant such as it was Mexicana de Aviación and its surprise bankruptcy that made them rethink their spending more than once.
“Something that has characterized us throughout our history is the ability we have to evolve with the businesses, with our clients, to adapt and learn from them so as not to remain pigeonholed in what used to be, in the memory when We handled these accounts, these huge iguanas”, explains the Director of RTreviño.
Both Rubén and Luis Manuel agree that this 35th anniversary reflects the greatness of standing out as a marketing agency being so far from Mexico City, since the actions and ideas of the agency from Monterrey have spoken on their own, retaining accounts, in different stages. , such as Farmacias Benavides or HEB Supermarkets.
