Parasite director Bong Joon Ho has tapped Robert Pattinson to star in his upcoming sci-fi story.
Lovers of filmmaker Bong Joon Ho have been anxiously and nervously waiting for news about the next project of the director of Parasites. After completely sweeping the Oscars two years ago, we finally have news about his new movie. It is a science fiction story that looks incredible. As reported dead line, the director will adapt the novel entitled Mickey7, written by Edward Ashton. The production is being carried out by Warner Bros. Pictures and will be Robert Pattinson, the protagonist of The Batman, who leads the cast of the film.
The novel follows the adventures of «a disposable employee on a human expedition that is sent to colonize the frigid world of Niflheim. Whenever there is an excessively dangerous mission, even suicidal, the crew turns to Mickey7. After one of his iterations dies, his body is regenerated into a new one and retains most of his memories intact. After six kills, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal and why it was the only colonial post open when he accepted the offer.«. It looks really fun, right? The plans of the filmmaker of Parasites as a producer
Although the film will be inspired by the book by Edward Ashton, it is not expected to be a totally faithful story. The book is expected to be published in the first quarter of 2022, in case the plot has caught your attention and you do not want to wait to see Robert Pattinson giving a new kind of interpretation, as he has done lately with The Lighthouse or Tenet.
The director of Parasites will also produce a project (as yet untitled) for his production company Offscreen. He will do it with Dooho Choi for Kate Street Picture Company and Plan B.
