In great news for the entire Valorant gaming community, developer Riot Gamers is reviewing the Chamber nerf in Valorant, something players have been asking for ever since Chamber was added to Riot Games’ acclaimed FPS in the Act. 3, Episode 3, not to mention that he brought charm, style, and charisma to Valorant.
Something we find quite curious is that since joining in November 2021, he has established himself as a comfortable favorite in terms of pick rate and win rate, especially in the recent Masters Copenhagen event.

His abilities are generally focused on firepower with secondary utility, but, amid his relative strength, the game’s player base has been asking for a significant nerf for some time. It looks like they’ll get away with it too, with Riot Games developer Jeff Landa revealing all the details of a camera nerf currently being tested in the public beta.
In a tweet, Landa revealed the nerf currently available in beta ahead of its expected implementation in the full game. Testing operator balance in closed environments beforehand is typical, and assuming the stats reflect Riot’s thinking, it will likely be added in a future update.
The first changes relate to Chamber’s signature ability ‘Rendezvous’, seeing its base cooldown and recovery increased by 50%, from 20 to 30 seconds. The cooldown will also be set to the longest 45 seconds when an anchor is destroyed, and its radius will be reduced from 21 meters to 15 meters.
On the camera’s ‘Trademark’ basic ability, its slow duration has been reduced from 9.5 seconds to 6 seconds. His other basic ability, ‘Headhunter’, has also been nerfed, and its bullet cost increased from 100 to 150. Finally, the powerful Ultimate ‘Tour De Force’ will now require 8 Ultimate Points instead of 7, as well as having its duration identically to ‘Trademark’; from 9.5 seconds to 6.
