Businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego has been singled out on several occasions for alleged bad practices in tax payment.
It is estimated that the Mexican businessman’s assets are currently worth more than 11.2 billion USD.
Within the national territory, the taxes paid by taxpayers and companies are intended to support different public expenses and improve the country’s economy, in addition to seeking to cover collective satisfactions such as public education, safety and health; however, situations such as tax evasion, corruption, bad practices and cumbersome procedures have undermined the credibility of public institutions, something that today Ricardo Salinas uses to attack the SAT, pointing out that “all Mexicans have the right to defend ourselves from abuses.”
On July 1, 1997, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) officially began functions, publishing its Internal Regulations on June 30 of that same year under the order that natural persons and legal entities contribute proportionally and equitably to public spending. Thus, the institution, during 2021, has collected 3.56 billion pesos, a figure that met the goal of the Income Law.

The figure collected by the SAT represents the importance that all taxpayers in the country maintain a good relationship with the institutions; however, a negative feeling towards the institution has been awakened within the citizenry, as has been repeatedly demonstrated by businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego, who He has been accused on several occasions for alleged tax evasion.before which days ago he declared through Twitter:

Despite the controversial statements, andhe businessman has sought to demonstrate the need for taxpayers to find a way to pay what is “fair” pointing out that:
“We are going to pay, ONLY what is fair and in accordance with the law. The fact that you alienated people do not understand that in Mexico we have the right to disagree with the authorities and not conform, it is not my problem, it is government, they are not gods and they make mistakes and work for the people”.
For taxpayers it is important to know the statements of Mexican businessmen, since it is through these that conversation can be generated that helps Mexican families to integrate and interests on relevant issues such as tax payment and the need to know and understand the processes of public institutions.
