This week the first Nintendo Direct of the year took place, which was recognized for presenting the new Fire Emblem Warriors and the new DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8. However, one of the announcements that went almost unnoticed was that of Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festivalwhich will arrive in form to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
the series of Taiko no Tatsujin consists of very fun rhythm games where players control Don-Chan with gameplay that requires you to become the master of the drum. in the trailer for Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival presented at the Nintendo Direct it was confirmed that some of the popular songs that this new installment will have are MEGALOVANIA (from Undertale), Feel Special, Gurenge, KAIKAIKITAN, Racing into the night, Marigold, Moonlight and many more.

reveal trailer for Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival gives us an idea of the kind of humor we can expect in this game, which features cartoony graphics and a total of 76 songs. That’s not all, because it has already been confirmed that one of those songs will be the main theme of The Legend of Zeldadedicated to all fans of the series who purchase the rhythm game at Switch.
This week’s Nintendo Direct also confirmed that Taiko no Tatsujin will feature a multiplayer mode for up to 4 simultaneous players called DON-chan Bandin addition to a competitive mode for two players named Great Drum Toy War. The trailer also introduced some of the customization options for our DON-chan, with outfits unlocking as you play.

Even if Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival does not have a release date yet scheduled, Bandai Namco Entertainment has already confirmed that the plan is to launch the game this year, so we expect more news in the coming months.
