All Dragon Ball fans know that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is a movie that will bring back many classic characters that had been forgotten, such as Gohan, Trunks, Broly Piccolo, Krillin, The Red Patrol, etc. It seems that both TOEI Animation and Akira Toriyama’s team are planning to pay tribute to the group of fans of yesteryear, who knew the series 30 or 40 years ago.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that, among all, one of the most surprising returns was: Gotenks. For those who do not remember, it is the result of the fusion between Gohan and Trunks. He had his first anime appearance during the Majin Buu Arc on December 21, 1994 in Japan. Much like the combination between Vegeta and Goku, there were a lot of unexpected and hilarious results from mistakes they made during this well-known technique in Dragon Ball Z.
It seems that one of these “imperfect mergers” will be back. The character’s new look was shared online by the Twitter account @Guernicass4whose post confirms that the now-teenage Goten and Trunks will once again merge to create the fan-favorite fighter in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
The movie previously revealed new skins for Goten and Trunks to reflect how much they’ve aged since Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and likewise, Gotenks has also gotten a new look. Notably, Gotenks still shows purple hair in his fused form, while Trunks’ updated look now has blue hair.
As the same person shares on his social networks, this card is part of a collection available in vending machines that promote Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The whole set shows the characters who will take the leading role in this upcoming production.
