Free upgrade to the new generation also available on Xbox and Playstation consoles.
The Capcom RE Engine has shown over the years that it is an off-road engine capable of giving life to oppressive and terrifying atmospheres with an outstanding level of detail, proof of this is Resident Evil 7, a game with which capcom premiered this technology and turned to perspective in the first person, like the upcoming remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, released in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
With this new generation update, the Japanese company ensures that these three games can take advantage of the capabilities of Xbox Series X | S and PS5 to Raise the bar at the graphic and performance level compared to what we could see in the last generation of consoles. Capcom has confirmed that all three games will feature 4K resolution, 60 fps, ray tracing and 3D audio enhancements. Quite an advance over the old generation of consoles.
As if that were not enough, the three games will enjoy free updates from its Xbox One and PS4 versions to Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

It has not been the only novelty of Resident Evil, since Capcom has also announced the first story expansion of Resident Evil Village, Shadows of Rose. Will follow the story of the daughter of Ethan Winters 16 years later of the events of the original game and will arrive next October. Besides, Resident Evil Village adds a new content update that adds news to Mercenaries mode and the ability to play the story of the game in third person perspective. Ideal for those who have a hard time in a first person horror game.
