The numbers keep smiling at Capcom. The latest financial report of the company, released to the public last July, has demonstrated the good work of the developer in recent years. This is the best first quarter of a fiscal year in its history, with a 104% increase in digital sales. Total game sales increased 44.6% over the previous year, from 9.2 million to 13.3 million. Resident Evil Village has been one of the most prominent titles, surpassing 4.5 million units sold. However, it is the sales of Resident Evil 4 that are really shining, because the game is already the best seller in the saga.

Thanks to Alex Aniel, manager of Limited Run Games in Japan, we know the total sales figures for Resident Evil across all systems. The first place has not changed since the last time we collected this data and Resident Evil 5 continues to lead the top of the best-selling games of the saga, in all its versions. But the second place has changed, being occupied by Resident Evil 4. For some time the sales of the game have not stopped growing; probably because of its resemblance to Resident Evil Village and the rumors about its possible remake. What do you think of these figures?
