Upgrading games from the past generation to the current one is a fairly common practice. Now, today it has been revealed that fans of resident Evil will have the opportunity to play the remakes of the second and third installments, as well as Resident Evil 7, on a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and enjoy a series of visual improvements.
Through its official account, Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil 2 Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 will have update for the new generation, which will offer a series of visual improvements. Sadly, outside of a 2022 window, exactly when this will happen is unknown.

Those who already have these games on PS4 or Xbox One, will be able to access these updates completely free of charge. At the moment it is unknown if we will see physical releases of these three titles. Similarly, only visual improvements are discussed, so the use of the DualSense on the PS5 could well be something that is omitted.
On related topics, a remastering of Resident Evil Outbreak would you be on your way? Similarly, fans are working on a remake of Resident Evil Gaiden.
