Repsol has inaugurated a new ultra-fast charging station for 100% electric vehicles in Venturada, Madrid. A station that has four charging points of 350 kW each. This level of power allows the recharging process to be completed in a few minutes. In addition, the origin of electricity is renewable.
The network of charging points for Spanish electric vehicles continues to grow. Repsol It is one of the large energy companies that is most strongly committed to the deployment of this infrastructure, which is essential to achieve the transition objectives towards sustainable mobility and, more specifically, 100% electric mobility. Repsol has just inaugurated a new and very interesting recharging station.
Repsol has launched in the Community of Madrid a new ultra-fast charging point station for electric vehicles. A facility located at the Repsol service station in Venturada (Madrid), at kilometer 49 of the A-1. It is endowed with four 350 kW charging points each. It allows recharging electric vehicles in an approximate time of between 5 and 10 minutes. Times that are very close to conventional refueling.
Charging points with 100% renewable electricity
Repsol’s new ultra-fast charging points are located in a strategic location for users of electric vehicles and are part of the European project E-VIA FLEX-E, co-financed by the European Commission through the CEF program (Connecting Europe Facilities Programme), which includes the deployment of a pilot network of 14 facilities similar to Repsol’s in European transport corridors in Spain, France and Italy.
At the new Repsol charging station we will find points with CCS-Combo and CHadeMO connectors, so any electric vehicle can use them. Furthermore, and just as importantly, they have the guarantee that the origin of the electricity is 100% renewable. An optimal distribution of the energy available in the installation is also guaranteed when all the charging points are being used at the same time.
This is Repsol’s third ultra-fast charging facility in Spain. The first two came into operation in 2019 and are located in Lopidana (Álava) and in Ugaldebieta (Vizcaya).
The Repsol’s recharging network for electric vehicles has more than 2,000 operating points, of which more than 370 are publicly accessible. These include more than 100 fast charging. The vast majority are located in Repsol service stations, which positions the company as a benchmark in our country in this regard. All Repsol electric charging points have the guarantee that the origin of the electricity is completely renewable.
