Carmaker Renault and Geely have entered into a strategic alliance that aims to increase their stake in electrified vehicles in two tier-one Asian markets, China and South Korea. Renault’s hybrid cars will be highlighted and introduced in the Chinese territory while the French brand will benefit from the technology of Lynk & Co.
Two giants in the automotive industry have decided to join forces to improve their position in two key markets. The Grupo Renault and Geely have established a strategic alliance. A collaboration on sustainable mobility that will result in the launch of a whole series of electrified vehicles. This union puts the spotlight on China and South Korea.
The cooperation will initially focus on these two Asian countries and will allow Groupe Renault and Geely to share both resources and technology. The French car manufacturer assures that this alliance is key to accelerating its “Renaulution” strategic plan in both markets. The hybrid cars will be the main protagonists.
Renault’s hybrid cars will storm the Chinese market
The Renault’s E-Tech hybrid technology to enter China. Specifically, both companies will jointly present hybrid cars from Renault. Certain models will be branded to be marketed under the Geely umbrella.
