The leak of GTA VI is still giving tail and it is not for less. Rockstar has deeply regretted what happened, as the team did not want the game to be shown early or in this state. Also, criticism has been constant about the status of what is aiming to be a pre-alpha.
For this reason, a large number of developers and studios have decided to show their support without conditions. To do this, they have shown early versions of their corresponding games so that we can see exactly what they looked like before they were released. You can also see other examples with Horizon Zero Dawn, Borderlands or Hellblade.
Control
Remedy Entertainment’s work is one of the most unusual in recent years thanks to the use of telekinetic powers and with reality folding in on itself. In the first designs of the studio we can see a different Jesse Faden along with the absence of textures scattered throughout the Agency building.
Sea of Thieves
This is Sea of Thieves footage from Novmber of 2014. An upgrade from the earliest pill pirates, but still very much a work in progress. It was using Unity for more agile, iterative testing, while working in Unreal at this time was very early, aiming to create the reveal trailer. pic.twitter.com/yIPLtBLIUv

Here we can see in action a 2014 cover of Rare’s hit. This is a demonstration of the tests that they previously carried out in Unity, since the engine allowed greater ease when interacting with the environment and testing bugs.

A big hit indie this year has been the infernal Cult of the Lamb. Massive Monsters already had the game prototype they wanted to create in mind, but visually the change has been enormous until its arrival.

How about a little Injustice 2 in development work in progress pic.twitter.com/4sgfOWDXEe
— Robert Morrison (@RobertAnim8er) September 21, 2022
Robert Morrison is a developer who has participated in numerous projects and among them God of War stands out. In this clip he shows the final combat of Kratos and Atreusbut with the absence of all kinds of effects, textures and the visual layer that the GOTY of Santa Monica Studio needed.
At the same time, he also shows us footage corresponding to the first steps he took with Injustice 2, the unbridled work that invites us to slap DC heroes and villains.
Dicey Dungeons
To be honestly I haven’t been completely following the latest games twitter thing, but here’s what Dicey Dungeons looked like before it was finished, lol pic.twitter.com/1ggNcdP445

Good Terry Cavanagh assures that he has not been too attentive to what has happened in recent days on Twitter, but of course he could not have shared an earlier version of his wonderful Dicey Dungeons.
Blasphemous
This is no secret to any fan of @BlasphemousGame because since the early #kickstarter days we were extremely open with our development (And we had nothing to lose back then), but #Blasphemous looked like this for a whole year before release.

— Kurt Margenau (@kurtmargenau) September 20, 2022
Co-design director on Uncharted 4, Kurt Margenau is already a veteran at Naughty Dog who has also shown his solidarity with Rockstar, as has Neil Druckmann. In this case he reveals to us the unforgettable car chase with Nate and Sully through the streets of Madagascar.
immortality

FYI, here’s what IMMORTALITY looked like for the first 2 years where we were focused on getting the AI and combat gameplay balanced vs. how it shipped pic.twitter.com/lXoBQeKYUO— Sam Barlow, offering IMMORTALITY (@mrsambarlow) September 20, 2022
Sam Barlow laughs completely at the teasing towards GTA VI and shows what Immortality looked like “in the first two years where we were focused on AI and combat balance.” It should be remembered that we are talking about a purely narrative game.
Rift of the NecroDancer

— RIFT OF THE NECRODANCER 🎸 (@NecroDancerGame) September 20, 2022
We close in this case with Rift of the NecroDancer. An early test, no, practically primitive in which a developer appears on screen to examine the yoga minigame that would make it to the final version.
