Valheim is one of the video games of 2021 and nobody can argue with that. Many figures indicate this to us, such as the more than 8 million games sold, a really high figure. Another good indicator is the players on Steam and now, thanks to the new and long-awaited update Hearth & Home, the number of users has increased notably.
Just a few hours ago, Hearth & Home was released, the new Valheim update that introduces numerous improvements to the game’s systems and more content. As was almost to be expected, the players have jumped in to see the news and the game has registered the greater number simultaneous users from 5 months ago, something that shows the interest there was.
As we see in the SteamDB data, the last peak of highest activity registered in the last 24 hours has been of 66,264 simultaneous players. Valheim had not reached these figures since the beginning of May, when the game was falling in players. But it is normal, the historical peak was recorded for its launch, with 502,387 users at the same time, a real madness.
These new data have helped the game to even enter the Top 10 most played from Steam for a while, sharing space with GTA V or the successful Cookie Clicker. Remember that Valheim is still in Early Access and the developers are focused on constantly improving it. Hearth & Home is a really big update.
The new content, beyond new objects, introduces changes in the meal system, more cooking, adjustments to how the stamina and life, modifications in weapons such as the two-handed ax and bow, and many other changes. There are so many that the developers themselves assured that it was better to start a new game to enjoy them all well.
