Rockstar is working on GTA VI right now. Although for many this is great news, there are others who are not entirely happy. Specifically, the players of Red Dead Online will suffer the consequences of this approach to study, since the already little attention they received will be reduced.
Through a statement, Rockstar has confirmed that they have no plans to offer major expansions and new content for Red Dead Online, as the studio is focusing its resources on the next installment of Grand Theft Auto. This was what was said about it:
“Over the last few years, we have been steadily moving more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, understanding more than ever the need to exceed player expectations and make this next entry the best it can be, and As a result, we are in the process of making some changes to the way we support Red Dead Online.”
The studio will continue to offer support for Red Dead Online, but instead of creating new content, they will focus on expanding the options that are already present. At this point, Rockstar mentions specialist roles, competitive modes, and cooperative story missions. Alongside this, they have plans to add special seasonal events and more telegram quests.
Without a doubt, bittersweet news for many. Although the support for Red Dead Online will continue to run will no longer be as large as it was during the first years of the life of Red Dead Redemption 2. On related topics, it appears that Rockstar has canceled remasters of Red Dead Redemption Y GTA IV. Similarly, it is said that the engine of GTA VI he is ahead of his time.
Editor’s note:
They have been difficult years for the players of Red Dead Online. It’s clear that Rockstar’s focus is on GTA and all of its games. The community has long complained about the lack of substantial content for the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2and it seems that these complaints will continue for a long time.
