What time are the Red Cross and Huila lotteries played?
The drawings take place between 10:30 pm and 11 pm (Colombian time) and can be followed through the Huila regional channel, as well as in broadcasts via Facebook and YouTube, where the winning figures are announced. Take note!
How many series does the ‘Red Cross Lottery’ have?
Within a lottery plan that issues 100,000 tickets, distributed in ten series of 10,000 tickets each, players have various opportunities to be benefited with prizes. These prizes include one of great importance, known as the “jackpot”, as well as nine other prizes that are awarded to tickets numbered similarly to the jackpot, but belonging to other series.
What to do if you win the ‘Red Cross Lottery’?
To request delivery of the prize, it is necessary to provide the Single Tax Registry (RUT) certificate issued by the DIAN, as well as a copy of the citizenship card. However, it is important to note that a lottery winner will not receive the entire cash prize, as the National Tax and Customs Directorate will make a deduction of a portion of the amount won.
As established in the Tax Statute, the winner will be subject to paying taxes on occasional profits, which implies 20% of the prize won, in addition to an additional deduction due to the financial tax known as “4 x 1,000” on the value gross obtained.
Objectives of the ‘Red Cross Lottery’
The creation of the ‘Red Cross Lottery’ had as its main objective to fully support the noble purposes of the Colombian Red Cross, allowing it to obtain the necessary resources to meet the growing needs of National Relief and provide it with a mobile hospital for emergency situations.
In addition, it seeks to promote the development of its Blood Bank program, as well as strengthen social service and community improvement campaigns. To this end, express authorization is granted to the National Society of the Colombian Red Cross to establish a Lottery with cash prizes, in accordance with the plan to be prepared by said institution.
