capcom has good news for Resident Evil fans who play on new generation consoles, as this week it was confirmed that the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3as well as Resident Evil 7: Biohazardare coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 this year, with graphical and performance enhancements for the ultimate console experience.
The three Resident Evil games coming to Xbox Series X | S and PS5 this year were developed with the graphics engine RE Engine, which is owned by Capcom itself and would have allowed the company to improve these three installments after the release of Resident Evil: Village. Those who have purchased Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 or Resident Evil 7 biohazard on PS4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version at no additional cost.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was the last installment in the series before RE: Village arrived last year, while the remakes came in between these two games. In contrast, the Resident Evil 3 remake arrived a year later but did not have the same critical reception, although it is still a good game for fans of the series.
