Discover what is? Digital birth ?, a phenomenon about babies with a presence on the web.
Did you know that 9 out of 10 children under the age of 2 have a web presence? In addition to videos and photos, some already have a Facebook profile or Instagram account. Researchers have called this phenomenon? digital birth?
An online security firm called AVG conducted a study with which it discovered that 92% of babies in the United States are already part of the web, due to the images shared by their parents (especially mothers) from birth. A baby is even considered to have a web presence if its parents have shared an ultrasound or sonogram.
2,200 mothers from various countries in the Americas, Europe, Oceania and Asia were interviewed in the study. According to the report, North American moms are the most likely to share information about their babies, followed by Europeans and finally Asians and those of the oceanic continent.
AVG CEO JR Smith says it’s perfectly understood that parents want to share with their friends and family connected to the network, the first moments of their little ones, especially if they are first-timers. However, he called for them to become aware that they are creating a digital history of a human being, which is for life.
He also asked to follow possible security measures so that the information of his little ones does not fall into the wrong hands.
And you, what information do you share on your baby’s network?
