In great news for the entire Rocket League gaming community, San Diego video game developer Psyonix recently announced Season 3 of Rocket League Sideswipe, the standalone Rocket League mobile game, is now available! !
Something that we find quite curious is that, Season 3 has a new Rocket Pass, Season Challenges, Spectator Mode and the completely new “Trios” mode. This replaced the “Volleyball Mode” and in it 6 players can compete in 3v3 action to make strategic plays in the air.
“Trios” is played in the new “Longfield Arena” with off-screen indicators added so players can better track their teammates. Additionally, the new Spectator Mode allows players to watch and analyze Private Matches.
Season 2 Rewards, which are Player Banners and Titles, will be awarded with the launch of Season 3, depending on the highest rank achieved throughout the season.
Player 3 joined the game
Now that Volleyball is behind us, the format that started it all in Rocket League makes its Sideswipe debut. Trios is a new 3v3 mode where you and 5 other players go head to head in one of the most exciting updates yet.
To accommodate the additional players, we’ve added a new Longfield arena and an off-screen indicator so you’re always aware of your teammates. Without a doubt, this mode will test your teamwork skills and strategic thinking.
Rocket Pass 3
With each new season comes new Rocket Pass rewards! This season, we added three cars to Sideswipe’s roster: Marauder, Mantis, and Takumi.
Spice up your new vehicle with rewards from the Rocket Passincluding the wheels Yoked1K for heavy-duty specialists, or the ferocious level 50 Force Razor goal blast. Did you spend all your SP on surprise items? New seasonal challenges will keep your wallet and garage always full.
spectator mode
Do you want to take your game to the next level? It’s now easier to analyze private matches from the stands with Spectator Mode, which also doubles as a powerful new tool for content creators. We can’t wait to see what you can create with it!
