If last week Jez Corden, a journalist for Windows Central, assured that Xbox has more games in development than we imagine, this weekend he has returned to the Xbox Two podcast and, directly, has revealed the title of two new unannounced Xbox projects. It would be about Project Shaolin and Project Belfry.
These games would currently be in development within Xbox Games Studios, although Corden does not specify which studio would be in charge of each project. Just as it does not go into too much detail about the proposal of each of them, Project Shaolin does not specify anything beyond the name. Although there are already all kinds of fan theories that point to Jade Empire, despite the fact that the license is from EA.
As for Project Belfry, Corden suggests that it could be a gothic setting horror game. Belfry in French means Bell tower, typical of European Gothic buildings. The only French Microsoft studio is Arkane Lyon, who has just launched Deathloop, so it is difficult that they already have another project so advanced. Instead, several of his internal studies are based in Canada, which has deep French roots. Compulsion Games is one of them and now it is not known what they work on.
Last week, Corden said that only “about one third of Xbox Game Studios games have been announced. ‘ Beyond well-known games such as Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Helleblade 2, Avowed or Perfect Dark, among others, details of the new InXile Entertainment game, the mysterious Project Dragoon from IO Interactive and these two new games from the that hardly anything is known. Undoubtedly, Xbox’s own launch line aims to be more exciting than ever, we just have to wait to see what those from Redmond have been preparing in recent years.
