The last two years have been challenging for everyone due to the health emergency. Millions of formal jobs have been lost and it is still not possible to return to the scenario prior to the pandemic. At the same time, there are cases that have stood out for the way they turned adversities into opportunities. They are the ones who have not only stayed but managed to grow in the midst of the crisis. In the case of our country, the clearest example is Prixz, which is already considered the future Mexican unicorn of the healthtech industry.
What’s that?
Before proceeding, it is necessary to define this term that has gained popularity in modern times. In a simple way, a company that during a short period of time achieves an exponential increase in its income is called a unicorn. In addition, other aspects are also considered, such as achieving a value of one billion dollars without having a presence on the Stock Exchange.
In this sense, a company that proposed to incorporate HealthTech with the e-commerce to offer the sale of medicines and health products at home was Prixz. His idea has been well received due to the fear that prevails in part of the population to go out and shop on a daily basis. It is also quite convenient to purchase any type of product with a single click.
In 2021, this company was positioned as a HealthTech with the highest growth at an international level according to various consultants. While now it has a great commitment and responsibility with the Mexican market.
The keys to success
In the words of Sergio Pérez, director of e-commerce and Co-Founder of Prixz, the company is still in its early stages, although its main short-term objective is to become the next Mexican unicorn. For this reason, by 2022 it will seek international expansion based on two main pillars: having the best catalog of products and services at a fair price and a much shorter delivery time than its competition.
At a press conference, Erick Ramírez de Arellano, marketing director of Prixz, commented “We continue on our way to becoming our patients’ favorite super health app. To achieve this and follow up on our pillars, there are the CRUMS of Last Mile) that allow us to arrive efficiently and quickly, we currently have these centers in cities such as Monterrey, Guadalajara and CDMX, however our projection for this year is to add two more cities”.
By 2022, this healthtech will have several alliances to continue offering health services. telemedicine and other specialties.
Thanks to this type of innovation, Prixz is a candidate for Mexican unicorn within the healthtech sector. Based on current statistics, the platform generates about 12 million monthly visits. In terms of increased sales, there has been a strong growth of 400 percent compared to the previous year. It is estimated that by 2022 the benefits will double.
In addition to this, it is being evaluated to be able to take these services to other countries within Latin America and eventually jump to other markets.
