With the premiere of ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, fans of the saga get a 7th installment of the story based on the Hasbro and Takara Tomy toy line.
However, this film would be the sequel to ‘Bumblebee’, released in 2018 and which marked a complete reboot of the five films previously directed by Michael Bay.

Transformers film timeline
The starting point isTransformers” (2007)Directed by Michael Bay. This film introduces us to the Autobots and Decepticons, two factions of alien robots that come to Earth in search of a powerful energy source. The story follows Sam Witwicky (played by Shia LaBeouf) as he becomes part of the battle between the two sides.
The next movie is “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (2009). This sequel continues the story of Sam Witwicky as he faces a new Decepticon threat and discovers more about the Transformers’ past on Earth.
Then we come toTransformers: the dark side of the Moon” (2011). This film reveals that the Transformers have been involved in historical events and shows a hidden conspiracy behind the arrival of the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth.
The fourth installment is “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (2014). This film introduces new characters and sets a new direction for the series, with the Autobots and Decepticons facing an even greater threat.
We then come to “Transformers: The Last Knight” (2017). This film delves into the history of the Transformers and its connection to human history. Once again, the Autobots and Decepticons fight for the fate of the world.
Michael Bay Saga Reboot
The last film released was “Bumblebee” (2018). This film is a restart of the story told before, by developing events that are located in the 80’s in a totally different universe.
