However, Porsche emphasizes that new versions will have a greater autonomy in daily use thanks to the implementation of technological improvements. In Normal and Range modes, the electric motor of the all-wheel drive variants is almost completely disengaged when the demand for acceleration is low. Similarly, when the car coastes or is stationary, neither axle receives energy. If the driver demands more power or changes the driving mode, the engines are immediately activated again.
In the same way, improvements in charging functions and thermal management. The Turbo Charging Planner system, the high voltage battery can now be heated to a slightly higher temperature than before. This allows you to start the fast charging process more quickly.
The Porsche Taycan improves its level of connectivity
The Taycan’s level of connectivity will be expanded. The new optional Remote Park Assist assistance system allows remote control of parking maneuvers through a mobile phone. This assistant can be used in online and battery parking spaces. If the gap is wide enough, the driver can initiate the parking maneuver via the Porsche Connect app. When getting out of the vehicle, the rest of the process can be controlled by pressing and holding a button on the mobile application interface
The system Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is compatible with Apple CarPlay and, with this update, also with Android Auto. In addition, the design of the operating system has been slightly revamped. There are now five menu options instead of three on the left side of the center screen. Last but not least, we must talk about personalization. Porsche will seize the moment to introduce cult colors to the Taycan range. As part of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur customization strategy, the Taycan is now available in several classic colors through the new Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus paint options. They allow access to special shades that complement the 17 colors offered as standard. These special colors include Moonlight Blue Metallic, Acid Green, Rubystar Red, Riviera Blue and Viola Metallic.
