The titles would be based in Spain.
At the end of February we could see how it materialized during the Pokémon Presents something that few speculated: the ninth generation was already a realitytaking not only the form of a new region that would be based on Spain according to all the clues that we have been able to see, but would also receive the name of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple.
Having said all this, it should be noted that, as happened with Pokémon Legends Arceus at the time, The Pokémon Company chose to teach large open areaswhich would show all the potential that the title had to teach.
However, unlike the aforementioned game, in which they had to reiterate several times that it was not an open worldwith Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple the opposite has happened: it will be a 100% open world. And under this same premise, we can already know the first data of this world according to what Nintendo has indicated.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple will have an open world
According to what has been known, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple are a revolution for the sagaas it allows you to explore an open world from start to finish without any borders with towns and cities everywhere.
In this way, instead of being a title similar to Pokémon Legends Arceus or Super Mario Odyssey (as far as level structure and design are concerned), Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple would be more similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwithout load screens between zones, although it is completely unknown if there will be any means of transport or if there will be vertical options.
Keep in mind that the latter is essential, since, seeing that they have added mountainous areas, being able to climb these steep mountain ranges should be one of the bases of the title. Of course, it seems that the traditional capture system will return.
In any case, we will be waiting to know more about this ninth generation. Otherwise, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple will be released on Nintendo Switch sometime in late 2022.
