Pokémon is one of the most profitable franchises in the world, and it is that, in a recent addition to the subreddit Am I The Asshole has told the story of a Pokémon fanatic who found his brother’s Pokémon card collection while helping him to move.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that, later, he proceeds to take advantage of his finding and infuriates both his brother and the commentators of the publication in question. He explains that he comes across some “recognisably rare letters in very good condition” while helping his brother pack.

After discovering that they were worth a lot, he ended up selling these cards privately and keeping the money for himself. Shortly after, his brother found out about the sale and was “furious” at his actions and now refuses to admit it.
After putting the post up on the subreddit, most commenters confirmed that he is both the jerk and the thief. One commenter, @VerySurlyPerson, explained that “the best case scenario is that you took an item that belonged to you and your brother jointly and sold it without talking to him.”
Referring to the author’s comment that the brothers used to collect the cards together. Others took a more legal view, with @RatioNo1114 presenting the notion that “what you’re doing is theft”. Especially since it was taken from the brother’s room, valued and sold without the owner’s knowledge. The poster says he wanted to split the profits, but his brother refuses to “acknowledge [su] presence”.
