Less than a month to go until the launch of Splatoon 3, Well, it will arrive on the Nintendo Switch next Friday, September 9. Fans of the series are eagerly awaiting this new installment, but if you don’t know if Splatoon is for you, Nintendo is going to give all players the opportunity to play it early.
Last Wednesday, a Nintendo Direct dedicated to Splatoon 3 was held, where Nintendo showed various aspects of the game and introduced its new idols from the Deep Cut group. That same day the first splatfest of Splatoon 3, which will arrive on August 27 free for all Nintendo Switch players.

Splatoon 3’s first Splatfest will take place on August 27th and the teams will be Rock, Paper and Scissors. It is already possible to pre-order the demo of Splatoon 3 but the downloads will start next Thursday, August 18, a week before the tutorial arrives, on August 25. Players will have 2 days to learn the basics in the tutorial before they choose their team for the first Splatfest.
The Splatoon 3 demo that allows us to participate in the first Splatfest is available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, but Nintendo has already confirmed that we can all play it, since the download is accompanied by a code for a one-week free trial of Nintendo Switch Online. This code can be redeemed even if you have already redeemed other similar codes in the past.
Nintendo Switch Online free trial codes will be distributed via email starting August 25, and will be redeemable until August 29, 2022, so you won’t be able to save them for another time. In the case of children’s accounts, the codes will be sent to the email registered in the account of the parent or guardian.
